So, you thought with Valentine’s Day safely 3 weeks behind you that you were in the clear, eh? Well, think again. Because for the second time in five month Fantasia Events & Entertainment brings you The Morning After, a comedy show all about love, or whatever it is that passes for love. Do you know what the difference is between relationship therapists and stand-up comedians? The comedians will tell you the truth. They’ll mend your broken heart by tickling your ribs. That’s assuming, of course, that your heart is broken. And let’s face it, if you’ve ever been in love…

Producer Ali M. has seen comedians do ethnic material, political jokes, and of course relationship jokes. But he says it’s the relationship stuff that makes the most impact. Love transcends ethnic, social, and political differences. It’s the one thing that all audience members can relate to. Ali is known for producing very popular ethnic shows like Comedy in Colours and United in Comedy (another edition of which is coming up this month). But his first foray into relationship comedy last October was a sell-out success.

This second edition’s line-up features not one, but 2 lawyers! One, Jessica Salamon, had actually been a war crimes lawyer at The Hague, but gave it all up for love… of comedy. The other, was called to the Quebec Bar in 2006. After 4 years of being an officer of the court, she’s become a court jester. Now she gets called to bars of a different kind.

Jon Malanos hasn’t been as lucky in love as he’s been in comedy; he became a comic after a relationship gone bad, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Rounding out the line-up is the lovely Bianca Yates, and the highly entertaining Guido Cocomello, and your rough-and-tumble headliner, Massimo. The whole thing is tied together by your host, Just For Laughs veteran Dan Bingham.

The Morning After Comedy Show II, Sunday, March 6 at The Comedy Works. Tickets: $13.00. Show starts at 8:30 pm.
