Two Just for Laughs veterans in town starting tonight!

Greg Morton is one of the most talented performers in the business. It almost seems inadequate to call him a stand-up comedian. He’s not tall. But on stage he’s larger than life, and it’s been said that he’s got the best closer in the business.
The Just For Laughs veteran is a talented voice artist who started out as an animator and a cartoon director. Indeed, watching him on stage is like seeing a cartoon character, or several of them, come to life. He’s worked on Scooby and Scrappy Doo, White Fang, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures, Alf, and Police Academy, to name a few. But the comedy stage is where he really shines, and he’s bringing his act back to Montreal’s Comedy Nest this weekend.
With his trademark gap-toothed grimace, his bug-eyes, and rubber face, Greg Morton’s comedy is certainly above board. But what really grabs the crowd, refusing to let them go until he’s done with them, are his one-man versions of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. He manages to get all of Star Wars done in 2 minutes, and The Lord of the Rings in 30 seconds.
It’s a treat to see him in an intimate setting like The Comedy Nest where he’ll be tonight, Friday, and Saturday. For tickets call 514-932-6378.
You may not recognize Gerry Dee’s name right away, but you’d certainly remember him from several television commercials, including the McDonald’s Junior Burger commercial, a Nissan commercial involving a voodoo doll, and a recent Delissio pizza commercial.
He’s a talented comic with several award nominations under his belt, and a few wins, including Best Comic in Canada at the Canadian Comedy Awards. He also holds the distinction of being the first Canadian in 3 decades to win at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
He’s been to the Just For Laughs, on Last Comic Standing, and in the Trailer Park Boys movie. He’s been a sports commentator, a school teacher, and is an avid golfer.
And of course he’s got a solid stand-up act that he’s bringing to The Comedy Works, this Friday and Saturday. Check him out, and call The Comedy Works at 514-398-9661.
