Feb 13, 2012 - 11:13
After having one of the greatest meals in 2011 at Icehouse, we got a chance to try its sister restaurant Kitchenette earlier this month. A little off the beaten path, the place is located on the outer edges of the Village on the corner of Rene Levesque and Panet. There is a distinct vibe that lends itself to the space – an open kitchen is prominently featured, being visible from almost all angles of the restaurant. The mix of antique decor...

Just two years ago, I dined at an excellent little restaurant called La Loie near the Gay Village. The draw was the wine-and-food pairing skill of sommelier François Thibeault, the innovative cuisine of chef David Caron and the retro decor of owner-designer Merlin Lambert. - A restaurant to be truly excited about! (5/5) Nov 19, 2010
My husband and I live in Montreal and have been exploring the restaurant in our city. None have impressed us as Kitchenette! We tried their trio of Po' boys that come on a mini picnic table, the Japanese taco with pulled teriyaki beef, the beer-braised ...

Fair at best, this place is best for a one drink and out experience.

My best restaurant experience this year! This place is doing nouveau American cuisine better than most places in American cities. As an American ex-pat, I feel at home (someone else's really nice and comfortable home!) here.

Good hearty food, good wines, reasonably priced. You'll have a good evening. Parking can be tough.
